No Bike, No Problem

Aurie's future toy

Aurie's future toy

So, I was thinking about what my toy ride would be. Most guys get bikes, but I’m thinking to myself…”Can I get away with having that with my lady? Umm…yea…that’s a tall order.”
So, I’ve decided to try to get something one day that not only looks cool and goes fast, but it’s also energy efficient.
This is the VentureOne Hybrid. The approximate starting MSRP has been slated to be no more than $23k for a fully electric model and around $18k for the hybrid. I’m not the flashy type, so this is right up my alley. You can definitely get around in the rain in this thing too which is pretty nice.

To learn more about this vehicle, visit a blog that I was reading that does a nice job of explaining some of the details by Click Here

Here is Hammond from Top Gear showing you one of the first prototypes…Enjoy

Now, that’s what you call compact.

I think that it will catch on in the US quickly. I like the fact that the price tag will be in my range too and if I wait long enough, it should be even cheaper.

definitely a futuristic car…kinda too compact though, but cute

Thanks LL…I really like the futuristic concept. The future is now.

You would be surprised to know that it can fit a grown man of at least 6′0 in the back seat, so it’s not as small as you think. Just like a bike wasn’t made for the storage & seating capacity it provides, this is just an alternative to that.

I was worried about that back seat. It looked really tight.

It looks tight, but it’s actually pretty good.

There’s no way I could get busy with chicks in the back of that thing, you can have it. Trikes seem cool but I doubt that it has any real horsepower.

But just so you understand the math on this one before you buy:

In an accident…You in that thing vs. Me in my 12 miles per gallon, 7-8 passsenger truck = that you will be having a really really bad day.

Leave that thing to the folks in Minority Report or some other futuristic movie. lol.

Plus it doesn’t look like you can get Dubs on that thing, how the hell is Xzibit gonna pimp that ride?

I’m not sure if this would sell well.
I’m not sure if chicks would be into a trike as much as a real chopper.

      ;-)

@ Crobins & Mike; You both bring up great cultural points. I’ll still give this a go. The G-forces generated would be more than enough for me. The price will come down over time as with any new technology. The chopper feeling with the wind through your hair is very attractive, but there are other models where there are two wheels up front and one in the back. This allows for even faster brake horsepower and top speeds of 233 Km/h or 145 Mph for the US folks.
