How Fast Can You Type?
I thought that this was interesting to share with you all.
I visited a blog of someone who has commented on mine before, I found this pretty cool program. It gives you a typing test and then based on your skills, it will record how fast you can type in one minute. Although, there are many factors to calculating your ability to type at a particular speed, I believe that there is some value to this. For some jobs, it is important to be able to type at a particular speed level. If for no other reason than having fun with it, I am always up for a challenge. According to the program, I type 59 wpm. I know that I am a slow typer in comparison to professionals. If you are like me, you probably learned to type consistently because of instant messengers and other chat programs. I can probably go faster if I really sit down and concentrate more than I did and also if I put a little bit of practice into it. That speed test was pretty cool and shows me how bad I am. I only scored 37 wrp

i must apologize for taking so long between posts. you know how life can get in the way sometimes.
Me – 90 wpm. This is in English. I type in another language – even faster. 100 words per minute +.
I learned typing many years ago. The more I’ve been typing, the faster it became. People think it’s magic. It’s a breeze.
You do have to learn typing, which is easy. You do have to practice, and the more you do, the faster you’ll type.
Some people find that to learn to type is as easy as placing your fingers on your keyboard in the right way and just start typing. This is actually how I learned it.
For other people it is easier to learn typing with a typing tutor program (take a look at this typing tutor review on my typing tutor site if you wish). Typing tutor software often include typing lessons, typing tests and various fun typing games to have fun whilst learning to type.
I belive it’s always useful. It does’nt hurt to improve typing speed. The more one practices, the faster he/she becomes at it. Sometimes it’s helpful to to use a typing-tutor in order to *unlearn* bad old typing habits.
